I learned to paint from my neighbor’s clothesline. She had beautiful laundry – bright white sheets, red towels, blue jeans - with the ocean beyond. It was always windy enough - good drying weather - that I had to paint quickly. Get the image down. No fussing. Sit in my beach chair and swing my brush.
